Patricia Kerby

Patricia was born on May 6, 1944 in Cairo Illinois to her beautiful mother Lorine McKinney and her handsome father James Overstreet, she was the fourth of nine siblings.

Patricia moved to Chicago, Illinois with her husband and her children, she was a devoted wife and mother. She began her career as a fingerprint specialist for the 12th district Chicago police department. She also wanted to further her education by becoming a certified nursing assistant, she worked as a home care aide and caregiver.

Patricia was a phenomenal woman who strongly believed in her Lord and Savior. She raised her children to also have a strong relationship with God. She would attend church every Sunday with her children and grandchildren.

Patricia was a part of the 50 and Fabulous Modeling Club. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, listening to music and stepping.

She was never the type to bite her tongue, what you see is what you get, always a straight shooter but at the same time she was one of the kindest people you could ever meet.

Patricia preceded her death on April 2, 2025 at 7:42 pm on Wednesday. She will meet and see her loving husband (Eugene Kerby) and her son (Ronald Kerby) Granddaughter (Jaykia Walker) Mother (Lorine McKinney) Sister (Mary Hurt) and 3 brothers (Herbert Norris, Charles Norris, Kermit Overstreet) and sister-in-law (June Fields).

Her legacy will live on through her beautiful children Lisha Kerby (Kirson, Roshawn, Deshawn) Phyllis Kerby, Micheal Kerby (Omari Micheal Jr.) Larry Kerby (Lauren, Ajoy), Sharon Kerby (Tyron, Jayla)

Her great grandchildren (Kirian, Jordyn, James, Riley, Rain) Her 3 brothers (Gary (Joyce), Jerry and Lary (Lenora) McKinney) 1 sister (Renee Marks (Lee)) an a host of Nieces and Nephews, Relatives and Friends
